Rochester Black Authors Association hosts author chat
The Rochester Black Authors Association is hosting its first Books & Bubbles author chat at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 22.
The event will be held at Build Educate Rise and Restore, which is located at 100 College Ave.
Local children’s author, Darrick Dunham, will read an excerpt from his book, I’m Saved, Now What? 8 Ways to Live as a Saved Kid.
There will be a Q&A session for attendees to learn more about the author and his book, which will be for sale there.
The Rochester Black Authors Association is committed to promoting and celebrating reading, writing and literacy in the Black community.
The collective – which aspires to connect readers of Rochester with writers of the world – started in 2015 as a group of authors wanting to break stereotypical rhetoric about Black people being unable to work together.
