The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester is looking for several hundred volunteer bell ringers for its 2022 Red Kettle Campaign.
The organization estimates it needs at least 400 additional volunteers over the next four weeks.
Without the volunteers, The Salvation Army’s work could be negatively impacted, its leaders said.
Red Kettle donations stay local to help provide shelter, support services and emergency items to Rochester area families and individuals in need throughout the upcoming year.
“As the need for Salvation Army assistance continues to increase due to economic hardships, so has the need for bell ringing volunteers.” said Major Douglas Burr of The Salvation Army. “Just one shift makes a significant difference in each day’s donation total.”
The campaign has nearly 50 kettles at retailers across Monroe County. Volunteers can ring individually or in small groups.
Locations, dates and open time slots can be found at registertoring.com or by calling 754-9918.
