Victor Antonetti Jr., director of marketing and sponsorships for radio station WEPL-FM (97.1) has been named Hispanic Businessperson of the Year by the Rochester Hispanic Business Association.

Antonetti has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and sales and, as a musician, has worked with Grammy Award-winning artists of every genre. He also opened
“Poder 97.1” is Rochester’s first 24-hour Latinx radio station and an affiliate of the Ibero-American Action League.
“Victor has positively enhanced the Greater Rochester Hispanic community with many significant economic contributions, and also serves as a positive role model, thus embodying the ideals of this award,” Lisa Martinez DeVinney, chair of the Rochester Hispanic Business Association, said in a news release.
Antonetti also opened The Avalon Roc, an event venue at 470 State St. in Rochester that is home to corporate events, community fundraisers and private parties.
He will be honored as the 31st annual winner of the award at a gala luncheon on Sept. 20 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
