Bank of America has partnered with Chloe Capital, investing in the venture capital firm to increase the amount of funding available to under-represented founders and foster long-term opportunities.

Chloe Capital is based in Ithaca and has a Rochester connection. One of its owners, Myneco Ramirez, is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.

In addition, the firm’s initial Invest in Women form was held in Rochester, where Chloe Capital made its first $100,000 investment into a female founded business, It’s By U, which delivers floral arrangement kits. The firm was founded by Christine and Caroline Strzalka.

Bank of America has dedicated $350 million to women and minority-led companies through capital investments in mission-focused venture funds, like Chloe Capital.

More than $300 million has been committed to more than 100 minority-focused and minority-led equity funds in just over one year.
