Twins Hills Golf Course, a staple on Rochester’s public golf scene for 52 years, has been sold to 5719 W Ridge Road, LLC, an enterprise owned by Kristopher Oaks.
The sale price was $1.025 million, according to the deed filed with the Monroe County Clerk’s office on April 14.
Located just off West Ridge Road in Parma, Twin Hills provides an 18-hole layout that was built on former farmland and cherry and peach orchards in 1969.
The course name comes from the developers, twin brothers Warren and Russel Hill, who had previously carried on the family farming tradition on the property. The course had been in the Hill family until the sale, with David R. Hill signing over the deed.
Oaks was not available to provide insight on plans, but the golf course website says “work has already begun to bring back the rich history and ideal course conditions that many of you have experienced and have grown to love.”
Oaks is president of Oaks Construction, a home improvement contractor headquartered in Spencerport. The firm ranked seventh on the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Top 100 list for 2021.
This isn’t Oaks’ first golf venture. He also owns Arrowhead Golf Course & Marina in Spencerport.
