Shine has been vice president at Sunnking since 2015 and has spent more than 15 years in the recycling industry. CEO Duane Beckett had also served as president the past 10 years.

“It’s a huge honor and an excellent opportunity to keep influencing a company and industry with extremely high growth potential,” Shine said in a news release. “I believe we have a world-class culture, team, and purpose-driven brand that sets us apart from others in the recycling space. I’m looking forward to the exciting projects, partnerships, and innovative firsts that we have in store for the near future.”

Since joining Sunnking, Shine oversaw expansion into a new 204,000-square-foot facility with automated processing capabilities and was instrumental in improving Sunnking’s recycling footprint from 12 million to more than 25 million pounds of material per year.

“I’ve been working closely with Adam for the last 15 years and I know the company is in good hands,” Beckett said. “With a move like this, Sunnking is poised to make an even larger impact in the evolution of our industry.”

Shine is also president of Manitoba Corp., a scrap metal recycler in the Erie County village of Lancaster.
