The Fire & Ice Winter Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday on Main Street in Canandaigua, with ice sculpting, fire shows, horse-drawn wagon rides and a warm beverage trail.
The festival is a celebration of winter, with events such as a dog sled team, business bingo and Griddle to Grill Chef’s Challenge starting at 11 a.m. each day. Ice sculptures will be lit after dark on Saturday.
“After having to pause for 2021, this is just so cool to be able to have such a fun line up for families to come out of hibernation and celebrate,” Denise Chaapel, downtown Canandaigua business improvement district manager, said in a news release.
Registration for The Warm Beverage Trail starts Saturday at 11 a.m. until sold out, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 113 South Main St. The cost is $5.
Registration for the Chef’s Comfort Food Challenge offers tasting and voting privileges to determine which local chef will have ultimate comfort food bragging rights. The cost is also $5.
