St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center Inc. has named Jennifer Sahrle as its new executive director. She brings more than 15 years of health care experience to the role.
“Jennifer has the heart and spirit to guide the mission of the center,” said Sr. Christine Wagner, founding and current executive director. “Combined with her wealth of experience, I’m confident the future of the organization is in the best possible hands.”
Prior to Sahrle’s appointment, the center went through an emergent strategy process and established three new strategic pillars: building and strengthening operational infrastructure; embedding inclusion, diversity, equity and access into the culture and all programs; and enlarging community presence. With this roadmap in place, Sahrle will be responsible for guiding the organization in achieving these goals throughout the Rochester and Monroe County community.
“Like any true Rochesterian, I’m deeply committed to making our community the best it can be,” Sahrle said. “St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center has a long and proud history of serving the underserved among us, so to lead such an impactful effort is a real honor. It’s truly a group effort and I’m eager to learn from the staff and volunteers who are the heart of the center.”
St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center offers comprehensive health care services in a primary-care setting that include exams, lab work, eye and hearing screenings, dental work and more. The organization also provides comprehensive mental health services and engages in education and advocacy.
