Matthew Mitchell’s first introduction to the marketing firm Corporate Communications, Inc., came in 1996 when he was a co-op student from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Now he runs the company.
Mitchell recently was named president of Corporate Communications, a digital marketing agency whose roots in Rochester trace back to 1992.
Mitchell succeeds company founder Terry Palis, who has retired.
“I’m very excited to assume this new role and continue building on the success our agency has established over the past 24 years,” Mitchell said in a news release. “We’ve worked hard to adapt and grow in response to our clients’ needs and the evolution of the marketing industry.”
Mitchell had been director of operations and vice president, and he intends to maintain the agency’s progressive and innovative growth.
Corporate Communications began as a firm doing just what the name implies, managing communication efforts for Bausch & Lomb, Xerox Corp. and Eastman Kodak Co.
Mitchell helped guide the company’s shift from traditional analog marketing and communications to a digitally focused agency with a core emphasis on website design and development. Corporate Communications also specializes in search engine optimization, digital advertising placement and management, strategic in-bound market services and social media management.
