The new ‘ store (they dropped the Donuts part, remember?) in will be holding a grand opening event Monday, revealing a new style of store that soon will be coming to a Dunkin’ near you.

The franchise owned by Paula Vieira will be offering a variety of specials, from free coffee cards for the first 500 customers, to a free doughnut in exchange for a donation of non-perishable food, to a chance to win a television.

The store also offers some new features: cold brew beverages on tap, new espresso and coffee machines for making custom beverages, uniforms designed by Life is Good, a company that specializes in casual wear with upbeat messages, and an energy-saving design aimed at reducing  energy use by 25 percent compared to other Dunkin’  restaurants.

“We are excited to open this innovative new Dunkin’ restaurant in the Geneseo community,” Vieira said. “The new menu offerings and approachable atmosphere will delight Dunkin’ fans and help keep Geneseo running on Dunkin’ for years to come.”

The grand opening begins at 8 a.m. Monday. The Dunkin’ mascot, Cuppy, will be at the store at 4179 Lakeville Road from 8 a.m. to noon.

Brother and sister Luis Viera and Paula Vieira own a number of Dunkin’ stores in the Rochester area.

A spokeswoman for the company said makeovers of existing stores in the “next generation” style has started in other parts of the country, but she couldn’t say when it will happen in local Dunkins.
