Work continues on the $440 million del Lago Resort & Casino project in Seneca County, with project officials, government leaders and labor representatives participating in a ceremony Friday as the final steel beam for the structure was put in place.
The venue is on track to open in February, officials said.
“This is another milestone in our effort to build Upstate New York’s best resort and casino,” said Thomas Wilmot, del Lago Resort and Casino co-chairman, in a statement.
He noted nearly 200 New Yorkers are working at del Lago, representing more than 10 union trades as part of more than 20 local contractors and subcontractors at the job site.

The 205-room hotel, spa and casino is to include a banquet facility, several restaurants, lounges, 2,500-person entertainment center and other amenities.
