Melanie Braca-glia has joined Butler/Till Media Services Inc. as a media supervisor. Bracaglia brings more than 20 years of experience in the media industry to the role and most recently served as media director at Spin Marketing and Dixon Schwabl Advertising Inc.
Nixon Peabody LLP announces the following additions to its Rochester office: Erika Duthiers, associate; Jeannie Yim Figer, counsel; and Terence Robinson, associate. Duthiers is transferring to Rochester from the firm’s New York City office and represents clients in litigation involving complex contracts, intellectual property and employment discrimination. Figer previously was with Gordon, Feinblatt, Hoffberger & Hollander LLC and represents clients in commercial litigation matters. Robinson concentrates his practice on business disputes concerning contracts, employment defense, insurance coverage, property tax assessment and tort liability defense.
Marino Tavarez M.D. has joined the medical staff of Geneva General Hospital, specializing in the field of family medicine. Tavarez has joined the Seneca Family Health Center.
Gordon Toleman has joined CME Associates Inc. as supervisor of special inspections. Toleman brings more than 28 years of civil and mechanical construction and engineering experience to the firm.
Integrated Cabling & Communication Systems has hired Marshall DiStasio as an installation technician, while James McPhall has been promoted to project manager. DiStasio will be responsible for the installation of data, voice, video and fiber-optic cabling networks throughout the state. McPhall will oversee a crew of installation technicians on various projects and brings more than five years of data, voice, video and fiber-optic cabling experience to the role.
Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors P.C. announces the addition of Christopher Jackman as bridge engineer and Jamie Weick as architectural technician. Jackman specializes in the design, management and construction support for bridge and transportation projects. Weick’s first assignments will include providing CAD support and architectural design for a range of renovation projects for public and industrial clients.
Coler Natural Insulation has hired Gil Carr to provide project management and estimating services.
Harris Interactive Inc. has hired John Fricker as vice president, senior consultant, of its loyalty research practice. Fricker brings nearly 20 years of experience to the position. In his new role he will provide consultation to clients within the consumer packaged goods, retail, travel and tourism and restaurant industries. He most recently served as vice president for Taylor Nelson Sofres business solutions group.
Northwest Savings Bank announces that Kevin Ellis has joined its Rochester-area management team as vice president and commercial lending officer. Ellis will direct local commercial lending operations from the bank’s Rochester market headquarters. He brings 10 years of experience in commercial and relationship banking services to the position.
Maplewood Nursing and Rehabilitation announces the addition of Laurie Zazzara as business manager. In her new role, Zazzara will manage patient accounting and will handle daily operations of the business office. She brings 18 years of experience in health and long-term care to the position.
Conifer-LeChase Construction LLC announces the addition of Al Toenniessen as project manager. In his new role, Toenniessen will be responsible for the overall management of a variety of projects and brings more than 30 years of experience to the position. He previously served as a project manager with LeCesse Construction Co.
LeChase Construction Services LLC has added Paula Markevicz as marketing coordinator. Markevicz’s primary functions will be developing written content for corporate communications materials, including proposal responses, marketing collateral and executive communications. She also will be responsible for maintaining the look, structure and content of the firm’s Web site. Markevicz previously worked in marketing at Navitar Inc.
The Canandaigua Area Chamber of Commerce Inc. announces that Alison Grems has been named president and CEO. Grems brings more than seven years of experience with the chamber to the position. Prior to joining the organization, Grems was the executive director of the Glencoe Area Chamber of Commerce in Minnesota.
Five Star Bank announces the appointment of Christian Ludwig to branch manager at the bank’s Caledonia branch. He will oversee all operations for the branch and will be responsible for building on the current customer relationships and developing new customers. Ludwig brings more than 12 years of experience in the banking industry to the role. Margaret Bouchey has been appointed vice president of residential lending. She will be responsible for managing the bank’s overall residential lending activity, including creating operations procedures, training processors and sales staff and negotiating seller/servicing agreements with the secondary market. Robert Thompson has been appointed vice president and sales manager for the bank’s residential mortgage lending department. He will be responsible for business strategic planning; business profitability; supervision; and recruiting, hiring and training production staff within the bank’s mortgage origination group.
Allworx announces that Jason Beckett has been named director of sales. Beckett brings nearly 20 years of channel experience in the telecom industry to the role. He will be responsible for managing the company’s channel program and will use his relationships to further expand the company’s network of channel partners. Beckett previously served as vice president of business development at King Technologies.
Greater Rochester Orthopaedics announces the addition of Tara Rogalski and Debra DeGuglielmo as medical receptionists. In their new roles, Rogalski and DeGuglielmo will greet and check patients in and out of the office, take care of billing encounters and direct patient inquiries to the appropriate personnel. DeGuglielmo brings 20 years of experience to the position.
Patrick Hanley has joined Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School as vice president for institutional advancement. Hanley brings more than 20 years of experience in education advancement to the role. He will be responsible for engaging alumni and the community in the mission of the school as well as overseeing all aspects of fundraising.
Shyrl Orrego Scalice has joined the Center on Employment at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. In her new role as an employment adviser, Scalice will assist students seeking co-op and permanent positions, collaborate with faculty members to identify workplace trends and encourage employers locally and nationally to hire deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
