Wilson Magnet ranks 24th among nation's top schools

The city of Rochesterâ€™s Wilson Magnet High School ranked No. 24 on Newsweek magazineâ€™s most recent list of the top 100 high schools in the country, up from No. 27 last year.
Pittsford Mendon High School ranked 58th, down from No. 39 last year; Pittsford Sutherland High School was No. 61, up from No. 78; and Brighton High School fell to No. 92 from No. 47.
Wilson Magnet was first named to the list in 2000 at No. 143 and has moved up each year since.
The list ranks schools based on their level of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate test participation.
