Providium Consulting Group LLC announces that Stephen Smola has been named vice president of underwriting and analysis. In his new position, Smola will manage the health care business for proposals, renewals and settlements. He previously was employed at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, Rochester Region for 14 years.
Crossbridge Financial Group LLC has added Margaret Whitney as vice president of marketing. Whitney joins the company with seven years of marketing experience in the financial services industry. In her new role, Whitney will be responsible for planning and implementing marketing and new-business initiatives.
Scott Trumbower has been promoted to vice president – manager, wealth strategies group at Canandaigua National Bank and Trust Co. and will join the bank’s management group. Trumbower will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating communication of the group’s strategies for acquisition, growth and retention of business within the wealth strategies group. He has been with the bank since 1982.
Jay Advertising Inc. announces the promotion of Michaela Rohan to broadcast traffic coordinator. Rohan joined the firm in June 2004.
DePaul announces the appointment of Christopher Wilkins as vice president of addiction services. In his new role, Wilkins will oversee addiction treatment services, including an inpatient detoxification program, an inpatient rehabilitation program, an outpatient treatment program, Esperanza Latina, a community residence program and supportive-living apartments. Wilkins brings more than 10 years of experience to the position.
Chamberlain, D’Amanda, Oppenheimer & Greenfield LLP announces that Andrew Siracuse has joined the firm. Siracuse is a former New York State Supreme Court justice and joins the firm as of counsel focusing his legal practice on mediation and arbitration of civil disputes. George Marron has been named partner in the firm’s business clients group. Marron will provide business services, including the planning and formation of new business entities, negotiating and drafting business and real estate contracts, sales and acquisition agreements, and employment agreements.
Deloitte & Touche USA LLP announces that Greg Bartolone, senior manager of Deloitte Tax LLP, has joined the firm’s Rochester office. Bartolone will be responsible for new business development and client service for corporate and individual tax services. He brings more than 13 years’ experience to the office. Patrick Rooney has joined the firm’s upstate offices as a leader in assurance and advisory services. He arrives from Pittsburgh, Pa., and will remain as regional leader for the firm’s technology-media-telecommunications practice and for its venture-backed company practice.
Reed Eye Associates announces that John Chu and Frederick Schamu have joined the practice. Chu will practice in Greece and Pittsford, while Schamu will practice in Irondequoit. Chu and Schamu’s practices include primary eye care, contact lenses and eye emergencies.
SWBR Architects & Engineers P.C. announces the addition of Jerry Thorpe as director of business development. Thorpe will manage strategic business development planning, day-to-day client relations and corporate market positioning, as well as seek out new business opportunities and markets.
BlueTie Inc. has hired John Adams as director of customer service, while Brian Mural has been hired as business sales professional. Cory Roth has been hired as a sales professional. Adams will be responsible for developing and directing all support activities within the company’s customer service organization. Mural will be responsible for managing existing relationships with the company’s sales agents and resellers, while Roth has been hired as a channel manager and will serve to build and manage the relationships with BlueTie’s agents and resellers.
Hillside Children’s Center has appointed Anne Sherman to the position of leader of western region services. Sherman began working at Hillside in 1990 and most recently served as clinical mentor for the in-home diversion and enhanced diversion aftercare team. In her new position, Sherman will be responsible for establishing relationships with regional funders and community organizations and expanding the base of services and partnerships to create a system of care.
Citizens Bank announces the appointment of Jon Little as retail director for the Western New York market. Most recently Little served as district sales manager for Charter One Bank N.A.’s Buffalo north and south regions. He brings more than 25 years of retail banking experience to the position.
Cynthia Ambres M.D. has been named president of Lifetime Health Medical Group. Ambres most recently served as executive vice president and chief medical officer of Kaleida Health in Buffalo. She will oversee 12 health centers in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse, as well as several private affiliated medical offices and home infusion pharmacy operations.
Glenn Jackling has been named president and CEO of Newtex Industries Inc., while Nicholas Chong has been appointed managing director of Newtex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Jackling previously served as president of Cleaning Technologies Group following careers with Eastman Kodak Co. and CPAC Inc.
Rob Robson has been appointed director of development and training for Kirkhaven, the skilled-nursing facility of SeniorsFirst Communities and Services.
Genesee Valley Trust Co. has promoted Brian Costello to senior vice president of sales and marketing and Nancy Dickerson to senior vice president and chief fiduciary officer. Costello will be responsible for developing new business and building relationships with individuals, corporations and non-profit institutions. He brings more than 15 years’ experience to the position. Dickerson, who is one of the organization’s core founding members, brings nearly 30 years of experience to the position. She will oversee the administration of estates, personal accounts, trusts, non-profit accounts and IRAs.
