Submit recommendation for In the Lead: Best Family-Owned Businesses

The In the Lead Best Family-Owned Businesses special section (and online product) recognizes businesses that are owned by a family and which demonstrate success across any of a broad spectrum of criteria.

To be named one of the Best Family-Owned Businesses, a company must be entirely or substantially family-owned and based in the Rochester area. It can be a franchise or subsidiary of a national company, too, so long as the local operation is family-owned.

Other criteria:

Can demonstrate success in the local business community through growth in revenue or employees.
Recognized as a best workplace because of employee support programs.
Can show a high level of employee morale.
Is able to demonstrate strong and consistent community engagement.

Deadline for submission is June 6.
