Corn Hill Navigation, operator of two waterway tour boats, has rebranded to Rochester By Water.
The new name reflects the nonprofit organization’s mission of providing educational programs, public cruises and special events on the Genesee River and Erie Canal.
“For more than 30 years, our boats have offered a unique perspective on Rochester — one that can only be seen from the water,” Patrick Russell-Walsh, the organization’s executive director, said in a news release. “Rochester By Water clearly and confidently expresses who we are, where we operate and how we invite people to connect with this community.”
Rochester By Water will continue to connect people to the waterways, interpreting the history of the Erie Canal and Genesee River and inspiring environmental awareness and stewardship.
Erie Canal cruises on the Sam Patch and Genesee River cruises on Riverie begin in May. The organization’s website has more information.
“Rochester By Water positions us for the future while honoring everything that has brought us here,” Russell-Walsh said. “It gives us room to grow while staying rooted in the waterways that define our work.”
