President, Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School

Years in current role: 5

What trends or innovations in your industry do you anticipate having the biggest impact in 2025?

The incoming U.S. presidential administration is impacting many of our students, alumni, and community partners. Uncertainties around availability of federal grant monies, student loans, and impacts on the U.S. economy are prompting us to be thoughtful and thorough in how we approach both day-to-day budget management and high-level investment strategies to ensure Colgate Rochester Crozer is able to continue to operate effectively in a changing world.

What role do you see Rochester playing in your organization’s growth over the next few years?

As Colgate Rochester Crozer completes a Spring 2025 move to our new campus at the Sibley Triangle Building, in the heart of downtown Rochester, we look forward to engaging with our neighbors and community partners in the revitalization and enrichment of the city’s core. Our hope is that, as the downtown area experiences increased growth, it will bring more persons into contact with Colgate Rochester Crozer’s mission to “form students in theological and multi-religious studies to serve, care and advocate for all peoples and the earth.”

What community initiatives or partnerships are you most excited about engaging with this year?

As Colgate Rochester Crozer enters its 206th year with a renewed sense of purpose, we recognize the urgent need to engage in meaningful partnerships that advance justice, equity, and transformational change. I am especially excited about the opportunities this institution has to build upon existing collaborations while forging new relationships that will allow our students, faculty, staff, and alumni/ae to be at the forefront of peace, service, and justice — both in Rochester and beyond.
