President and CEO, Hillside

Years in current role: 6.5

What trends or innovations in your industry do you anticipate having the biggest impact in 2025?

Technology integration has the potential to improve efficiency, communication and collaboration across health, behavioral health and social care services. From automation to interoperability, interconnected functions are part of a broad enterprise strategy for providing services to youth and families. Successful organizations will strive for ways to leverage technology as a tool, not a replacement for the human connection.

What role do you see Rochester playing in your organization’s growth over the next few years?

Rochester plays an important role in helping Hillside meet our workforce needs. Hillside is grateful for relationships with local colleges and universities that offer career advancement opportunities for our staff and students. These relationships can lead to collaborative research, talent recruitment, or other mutually beneficial initiatives. Greater Rochester is also known for its strong philanthropic spirit, driven by a culture of giving and volunteerism. At Hillside, we rely on individual and corporate investments to drive meaningful change.

What community initiatives or partnerships are you most excited about engaging with this year?

Hillside is pleased to launch the Critical Time Transition Program (CTTP) in 2025. This new program will benefit youth and their families who are likely facing complex, multi-system challenges and needs. CTTP is comprised of a Critical Time Intervention team and a Transitional Residential Setting with up to a 120-day stay. The CTTP braids two funding streams to allow for flexible provision of services that are individualized for youth and families. We are designing and implementing this program in collaboration with the Monroe County Office of Mental Health and URMC as our hospital partner.
