Phelps Supply acquired by Growmark FS

Growmark FS, an agriculture cooperative serving customers in the United States and Canada, recently acquired Phelps Supply in the Ontario County village of Phelps.
Phelps Supply has been providing crop nutrient, crop protection and seed products and services to farmers in the region for more than three decades.
“As I’ve worked alongside the Phelps Supply team, it became obvious their keys to success have been the diligence and the dedication of a great team of employees,” John Richman, Growmark FS general manager, said in a news release. “That same team-based culture exists throughout Growmark FS.
“We’re excited to integrate the Phelps team and their customers to FS and bring additional solutions to the table.”
Terms of the sale of the assets of Phelps Supply were not released. The deed on the property at 1368 Junction Road transferred to Growmark on Friday. The sale price for the property was $1,358,220, according to documents filed with the Ontario County Clerk’s Office.
Growmark operates more than three dozen full service agricultural retail locations through New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
