What inspired the founder(s) to start the company?
A deep passion for tech and a desire to create something that I could truly be proud of. I wanted to build a business where every project had my name on it, a reflection of quality and dedication. Entrepreneurship allowed me to channel creativity, developing innovative products and services in the tech sector. I’ve always loved fostering growth — both in a business sense and in building a family-like culture. Ultimately, it’s my passion for tech, people, and long-term relationships that fueled this journey.
What were some of the biggest challenges the business faced in its early years? How has the company evolved over time?
One of the biggest trials was balancing the demands of starting a business with raising five kids. There was never going to be a “perfect” time, so I decided to go for it. Starting from scratch, I bootstrapped the company, taking out a home equity loan and forgoing paychecks to avoid relying on investors. My father’s advice to “pay your bills before you eat” was a guiding principle. Over time, the business evolved from an idea into a thriving company, bringing immense satisfaction as I watched it grow.
How many family members are involved in the business, and what roles do they play?
There are five family members involved in the business. Phil Ferranti Jr. founded the company and now focuses on helping our sales staff be the best that they can be. Alyse and Taylor Ferranti are Co-Presidents working together to improve the organization’s fundamental operations and managing the entire workforce. Phil Ferranti III is enterprise account manager handling the intricacies of our largest clients. Daniel and Luke Pagano are on our implementation team bringing projects to life daily.
What are the long-term goals for the company?
Our long-term goals focus on sustainable growth, innovation, and maintaining a customer-first approach. We aim to expand our service offerings in IT and AV solutions, stay ahead of industry trends, and integrate the latest technologies. Building long-term partnerships, enhancing team expertise, and contributing to our community are key priorities. We strive to create a lasting legacy as a family-owned business, ensuring future generations uphold our values of trust, quality, and innovation.
How do you envision the business adapting to future trends or challenges?
We envision our business staying agile by continuously investing in emerging technologies and ongoing staff development. As trends like AI, cloud solutions and automation grow, we’ll adapt by integrating them into our services, ensuring clients remain ahead. We’ll also focus on scalability to handle future challenges like cybersecurity threats and evolving client needs. By maintaining flexibility and a forward-thinking mindset, we’ll ensure our business thrives in a rapidly changing tech landscape.
What role does the company play in the local community? Are there community initiatives or causes that the firm supports?
Playing a large role in our local community is one of our core values. Beyond monetary donations we make, we actively lend our time and talents to local causes. For example, we cut the lawn for the Shepherd Home; collect and donate electronics, food, school supplies and presents for various local drives; provide tech services to organizations like Heritage Christian Services, Sunshine Camp and Ronald McDonald; and we recently participated in the local MS walk as a company. Every day we are working on something.
