Counsel Press
Years in current role: 32
What is your biggest professional goal for the rest of this year?
This year I am very excited to take on the role of president of the University at Buffalo School of Law Alumni Association. In particular, I look forward to reinvigorating our Rochester Alumni Chapter, as well as other chapters across the state and region. I also look forward to working with the law students — to me it has been the best part of my involvement with the Alumni Association Board.
What are your favorite aspects of the types of law you practice?
I have been involved in appellate practice for 32 years and I enjoy the work and assistance that I provide. It is a very technical field and I have been able to develop a very strong knowledge base. It is an area of the law that many attorneys are not as familiar with, and it is always a pleasure to assist attorneys navigate the complicated appellate practice.
What career do you think you would have if you weren’t a lawyer?
I have a very strong love of history and would probably have been very happy to be a professor in that field. I have a particular interest in ancient history and European history in general, but I always love learning new historical facts.
