After 27 years, Larry Werges and Bob Cowdery, the entrepreneurs who started Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters, have sold to a local investment team, led by the company’s new president and CEO, Gary Andalora.
Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters is a regional roaster of high-quality coffee, offering roasts, blends, single origins and flavored coffees.
The Victor-based business has been providing coffee and cafe products to local cafes, restaurants, universities, schools, grocery stores, farm markets, churches, offices and country clubs throughout the Finger Lakes, Western and Central New York regions. The company also operates retail locations in the Rochester and Syracuse markets.
Werges and Cowdery said it was important to find new owners who were locally based and committed to the employees and continued success of the business.
“Beyond sharing our passion for quality beans, we could not be happier to find such a great group to carry the business forward,” they said in a joint statement. “The fit with our team is excellent, and we are confident that our customers will continue to receive high-quality products and service.”
Added Andalora, “We are grateful for the outstanding business and culture Bob and Larry have created over the last 27 years and plan to continue their legacy of delivering great coffee and unparalleled value to their customers.”
