LaBella Associates has expanded further into the North Country Region of New York with the acquisition of Brooks Washburn Architecture in Potsdam.
Founded in 1991, Brooks Washburn is a full service architecture and architectural engineering design firm with expertise in the residential, commercial and institutional sectors. The nine employees join LaBella.
The acquisition gives Rochester-based LaBella 14 offices across the state and more than 30 across North American and Europe.
“We’re excited to welcome the Brooks Washburn team to the LaBella family,” Jeff Roloson, president of LaBella Associates, said in a news release. “Their broad expertise and deep relationships across the North County will enable us to more efficiently serve the North Country community in order to meet their specific regional needs.”
This is the third acquisition by LaBella in just over 12 months. Stieglitz Snyder Architecture of Buffalo joined LaBella in mid-January of 2023, followed by the addition of Kiloh Associates of Glasgow, Scotland.
Recent Brooks Washburn projects in the region include Woodstock Village at Clarkson University, historical renovations to the Satterlee Hall Clock Tower at SUNY Potsdam and the Public Safety Building of St. Lawrence County.
LaBella has been active in the region as well, from Clarkson University’s campus beautification project and the upgrade and reconstruction of site infrastructure at SUNY Potsdam to downtown and waterfront revitalization in the village of Potsdam and the $60 million Canton Potsdam Hospital expansion.
