What do you think the biggest change in the legal industry will be over the next 3-5 years?
In the next 3-5 years, the legal industry will undergo a transformative shift with the integration of remote workers into leadership roles. Legal professionals must establish strong community connections that focus on maintaining connectivity despite physical distance. These adjustments redefine traditional legal career paths, emphasizing the importance of fostering community ties in a rapidly evolving professional landscape.
What are the most important skills lawyers need that they didn’t need 10-20 years ago?
In the modern legal landscape, a critical skill is enhanced proficiency in communication, driven by the growing shift away from traditional in-person interactions. Legal professionals must cultivate their communication skills and nurture collegial professional relationships, particularly in a virtual context. The need to adapt to changes in interpersonal communications and connectivity will ensure the absence of face-to-face interactions will not compromise the quality of professional relationships, especially with clients.
What Rochester-area organizations do you support and why?
Rochester is such a giving community and continues to give so much to us each year, we want to make sure we give back to them in any way we can. We support key organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Camp Good Days, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Bivona, and Autism Up. The impact each of these organizations has on the community plays a pivotal role in enhancing the well-being of Rochester’s residents through a variety of services, which is why we believe in supporting them wholeheartedly.
