Allen
Walsh Duffield has promoted Brian Allen to the role of Rochester market leader within the organization.
In this role, Allen is responsible for overseeing operations, growth and performance for the 20-person branch of the full-service insurance agency.
In addition, Allen will work on building the sales team while continuing to play a key role in partner and carrier communications and the servicing of key commercial insurance accounts.
Headquartered in Buffalo, Walsh Duffield is a fifth-generation family-owned insurance agency who has been providing commercial insurance, personal insurance and employee benefits to clients since 1860.
Walsh Duffield entered the Rochester market in 2014 with the acquisition of the Quinn Agency and grew its presence in 2016 with the acquisition of the Don Allen Agency and Barry York Agency.
Upon acquiring the three agencies, Barney Walsh, executive vice president and part of the fourth generation of Walsh family, took on the role of market leader and guided the transition of all agencies into one Walsh Duffield team and brand as the business moved to the Culver Road office in 2016.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue to build on the momentum that Barney established by sharing the Walsh culture and vision,” Allen said. “We have a strong team, and I am confident we will continue to work hard for our clients and grow our presence in Rochester.”
Allen joined the Walsh Duffield team as a commercial insurance consultant in January of 2021. He began his insurance career at Brown and Brown in 2016 after spending five years as an elementary school teacher in the Brighton school district.
“Brian’s passion, energy and focus on educating clients is hard to miss,” said Sean Keenan, president and chief operating officer. “We look forward to the ways he will help us innovate, grow and establish Walsh Duffield as a recognizable brand in the Rochester community.”
