Constellation Brands expands portfolio with acquisition of luxury wine brand
Constellation Brands, Inc. has acquired Luxury Napa Valley wine brand, Domaine Curry, from Coup De Foudre Napa Valley.
The brand will join The Prisoner Wine Company’s house of brands, further enhancing its fine wine and craft spirits portfolio and commitment to investing in female and minority founders and entrepreneurs within the total beverage alcohol industry.
Co-founded by Ayesha Curry – wife of NBA basketball player Stephen Curry – and Sydel Curry-Lee, Domaine Curry was created with an emphasis on quality and dedicated to the women in their family and future generations of women.
“The acquisition of Domaine Curry, a female- and Black-founded wine brand with a successful track record for entrepreneurship, storytelling, and community, provides an opportunity for us to partner with Ayesha and Sydel to build a uniquely positioned luxury wine and culturally relevant lifestyle brand,” said Bukky Ekundayo, vice president and general manager of The Prisoner Wine Company. “Bringing them into The Prisoner Wine Company portfolio builds on our history of expanding the luxury wine landscape with inclusive and progressive brands, wines and values.”
