Dick’s Sporting Goods bringing concept store to Pittsford Plaza
Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a Warehouse Sale Store in Pittsford Plaza later this month.
Launched as a concept store in June of 2021, Dick’s has established Warehouse Sale Stores in malls or plazas across 21 states. There are five others in New York, including at Destiny USA in Syracuse.
The stores began as a pop-up clearance-sale concept but they now comprise their own segment within the Dick’s brand. Concept stores, including Overtime by Dick’s Sporting Goods, accounted for just under 8 percent of the company’s total real estate footprint.
The Pittsford Plaza store will be located in the 42,824 square foot space above Century Liquor.
The national retailer already operates Dick’s House of Sport at Eastview Mall in Victor as well as traditional Dick’s stores at The Mall at Greece Ridge Center in Greece and The Marketplace Mall in Henrietta.
Also coming to Pittsford Plaza is a Rochester Regional Health women’s clinic. It will occupy 8,000 square feet of space in the retail pad adjacent to Century Liquor. Wilmorite Management Group, owner of Pittsford Plaza, said no opening date has been set.
