There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but for one day the uninsured can receive free dental service, thanks to Dr. Oliver Cabrera.
Cabrera and his staff at Greece Family Dentistry & Implantology in Greece will host their fourth annual Free Dentistry Day for the uninsured on June 5 at their office at 3101 W. Ridge Rd., Building C. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Patients can choose from a free cleaning, filling or extraction. Local dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and other volunteers will provide services for 150 people or more during the one-day event.
“After this past year, with COVID restrictions, hygiene departments unable to provide care, and people losing their jobs or dental coverage, now more than ever, I know people need dental care and are struggling to afford treatment,” Cabrera said in a news release. “This ‘For the Love of God Dentistry’ event is our way of providing a necessary service to the community, and being there for the people who are uninsured.”
Greece Family Dentistry & Implantology and its partners have provided more than $58,000 in free dental treatment since this event began.
“Greece Family Dentistry & Implantology’s Free Dental Day is a great example of business philanthropy and compassion,” Greece Regional Chamber President/CEO Sarah Lentini.
