CEO, HCR Home Care
Years in current role: 42
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career?
It’s not over until the fat lady sings. Stay patient and constant to purpose.
What’s been your biggest success?
Being able to overcome barriers, while keeping a positive outlook and moving on. Learning from failures: failing forward.
Who have been the biggest mentors in your career?
My employees have given me the best advice. The people doing the work know the most about the work.
What are your hopes for the Rochester community this year?
That our RCSD can open schools and all stakeholders (all of us) can work together to support the educational needs of our children, especially for those most at risk. That we can come together to support local businesses and organizations whose survival has been challenged by COVID.
What do you do to unplug in your free time?
Mindless reading: when I have a short break. Adventure travel: when there’s an opportunity. Counting my blessings: always.
