McDougall Communications, Dixon Schwabl win PRism Best of Show

2020 PRism Best of Show

McDougall Communications and Dixon Schwabl were named Best of Show winners in the Public Relations Society of America Rochester chapter’s 30th annual PRism Awards on Thursday.

McDougall was recognized in the corporate Best of Show category for “Brighter Day, Brighter Planet: CooperVision’s clariti 1 day experience.”

Dixon Schwabl won Best of Show in the nonprofit sector for the brand management campaign, “Buffalo Waterfront Branding and Execution.”

A total of 83 awards were presented across 36 professional and nine student categories. There were 20 different organizations that won an award, with Dixon Schwabl piling up 23. McDougall was second in total awards with 16, the University of Rochester Medical Center won five, and The Martin Group and Break the Ice Media each won four.

In the student awards, St. John Fisher College won five, the College at Brockport and Pittsford Central School District each won three and Our Lady of Mercy won two.

Jessica Lewis, president and CEO of LaLew Public Relations, was named Rising Star. The award recognizes a young professional who demonstrates exceptional competence, skill and leadership potential.

Kim Condon, executive director of Daystar Kids, received the Executive of the Year Award.
