Monroe County officials have created an online employment portal to help long-term care facilities recruit staff.

In partnership with the Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) Workforce Investment Organization program, the portal will give potential applicants a place to input their employment information, credentials and background documentation in a single place and then be connected with hiring agents from multiple long-term care facilities.

Monroe County is not doing the hiring, but applicant information will be compiled and made available to local nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities.

“Ensuring that our long-term care facilities have an ample supply of eligible employees is a key priority for us in our efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19 and protect the most vulnerable among us,” Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said in a news release.

The portal is at: cs.monroecounty.gov/hrapply/apply/ltc.

Visitors can submit information for positions including: Certified nursing assistant; companion care giver; licensed practical nurse; nurse coordinator; patient care technician or resident care aide; social worker: registered nurse; and for clerical, custodial, dietary and maintenance staff.

The Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) is a partnership of 19 hospitals, 6,700 healthcare providers and more than 600 healthcare and community-based organizations in the 13-county region.

The organization works to build integrated health care delivery to support Finger Lakes region residents Medicaid recipients and individuals with no insurance.
