MRB Group grows through acquisition of Chatfield Engineers
MRB Group, a Rochester-based engineering, architecture and surveying firm, has acquired Chatfield Engineers.
The move expands MRB’s municipal services team and is designed to enhance services to clients of both firms.
“In order to serve the increasing need clients, we also need to grow and evolve,” MRB Group president Ryan Colvin said in a news release. “The decision to invite Chatfield Engineers to join MRB Group was made with clients in mind.”
MRB, with roots dating back to 1927, will grow from 62 to 72 full- and part-time employees. The firm has been located in the Culver Road Armory since 2011.
The principal focus of MRB Group is on municipal services. The firm provides professional engineering support to communities for water and wastewater treatment, public works services and local government planning.
Chatfield, with an office in the Town of Greece, has been involved with public works projects for more than 25 years. Chatfield’s team of engineers will relocate to MRB’s Armory location.
