GreyCastle Security acquires EagleDream's cybersecurity team

As part of a new strategic partnership, GreyCastle Security has acquired EagleDream Technologies’s cybersecurity division.

The move will create a larger grasp on Rochester for the Troy-based GreyCastle, where 10 of their 85 cybersecurity team members are based. The move will also leave EagleDream to focus specifically on development of their cloud computing and software development.

This opportunity was a no-brainer for both organizations,” said GreyCastle Security CEO Reg Harnish, in a statement. “As leaders within our respective markets, we knew a partnership emphasizing our core competencies would only increase our growth potential in these geographies.”

EagleDream is a software company specializing in IT services for businesses, app development and cloud storage. GreyCastle is a cybersecurity-oriented firm which landed on the 2017 Fortune 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America. The firm currently holds clients in every state in the U.S., including other members of the Fortune 5000 list and the Global 100.
