Reddit co-founder to speak at RIT
Listen to this articleReddit Inc. website co-founder Alexis Ohanian is slated to be the keynote speaker for the Saunders College of Business Gasser Lecture series at Rochester Institute of Technology.
The 33-year-old entrepreneur has more than 80 tech startups in his portfolio. His talk, “Think like a startup: Insights from a digital entrepreneur and startup investor,” is open to the public.
It is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Student Alumni Union’s Ingle Auditorium as part of RIT’s Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend.
“With fewer products being produced in the U.S., it is innovation coming from dorm rooms and garages that will continue generating wealth and jobs for the next generation,” Ohanian said.
In addition to Reddit, Ohanian is co-founder of the travel search engine Hipmunk Inc., and the online geek-boutique Breadpig Inc.
The William D. Gasser lecture series is designed to foster interaction between businesses and the academic community.
