Paula Plaza is an attorney at Phillips Lytle who focuses her practice on antitrust litigation and data security. She advises on data access agreements, privacy policies, cookie policies, website terms and conditions, acceptable use policies, compliance due diligence and data security incidents.
She holds the CIPP/E credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, completed coursework in data governance and protection at the National University of Singapore, and earned her LL.M. from the University of Michigan as a Clyde DeWitt Fellow. Paula was an associate editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law and awarded most valuable masters of law editor.
Paula was a fellow of the U.S. State Department and the ABA Dispute Resolution Section. She serves as Northeast Governor of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association and sits on the board of the Minority Bar Foundation.
Paula has presented on topics such as artificial intelligence and international law at conferences and continuing legal education programs hosted by the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, United Nations, and the Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York, among others.
