RochesterWorks launches free job quality survey to help employers boost recruitment & retention
RochesterWorks is offering Rochester-area businesses a new way to learn how their entry-level jobs are ranked against their local competitors across five key areas: salary, wages, benefits, career ladder (growth and development opportunities) and workplace environment.
The RochesterWorks Job Quality Assessment Survey is free, confidential and open to all Monroe County-area employers with entry-level employees on their payroll.
It is geared toward helping companies with their recruitment and retention efforts.
Upon there are enough employer responses, each participating company will be provided with a free summary report detailing how its job is ranked against its competitors in the five key job quality areas.
The report will highlight areas of strength and identify opportunities for growth, offering qualitative data to help businesses make strategic decisions and enhance their ability to attract and retain talent.
“We are committed to providing our Rochester business community with tools and resources that can give them a competitive edge in the current economy,” said Dave Seeley, RochesterWorks’ executive director. “The RochesterWorks Job Quality Assessment Survey is one of those tools; the resulting summary report gives participating local employers helpful data that can be used to improve their recruitment and retention efforts.”
In addition to the free summary report, participating businesses will have access to all other no-cost RochesterWorks employer services, including job postings, recruiting events, employee training grants and the new shift program, designed to provide hands-on support to supervisors and managers to boost retention.
The RochesterWorks Job Quality Assessment Survey was developed by nationally recognized workforce development organization, JVS Boston, and is being made available through the support of the ESL Community Foundation.
