In his new role as president, West will oversee the daily operations of both the U.S. and U.K. businesses, reporting to Michael Pavia, who will transition to the role of Chairman of the Board.

“I am excited as we plan for the future of the company which includes establishing the next generation of leadership and building the organization for agile and sustainable growth,” said Pavia, who founded the company in 2004.

West holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and an MBA in Finance & Strategy from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School.

In addition to his service as a combat veteran in Afghanistan, West has worked in government contracting and the commercial space sector.

“Teamwork, accountability and operational excellence are the foundational values I bring to every challenge, both personal and professional,” West said, noting these principles would continue to drive success at Sydor. “With a strong commitment to fostering growth, creating value and delivering optimal outcomes for our stakeholders, I am dedicated to leading our efforts toward sustained growth and success.”
