Apple Cinemas christens the refurbished nine-screen theater Friday, 18 months after Pittsford Cinema shuttered operations.
The theater underwent renovation of all screens and luxury reclining seating was installed. Each theater includes laser projectors and Dolby sound. The prime theater also features the area’s only large-screen ACX format with Dolby Atmos Sound.
Apple Cinemas is more than just going to a movie, however. It’s dinner and a movie. Or a cocktail and a movie. BurgerFi will provide food service and there also is a lobby bar.
Guests can order pub-style food right from their seat, including wings, burgers, wraps and fries from the full BurgerFi menu, along with movie-themed shakes.
Apple Cinemas says it will show all major first-run movies and blockbusters. Matinee prices (before 4 p.m.) are $9 and evenings are $11. Visit the theater website for the movie menu and show times.
The Pittsford Plaza theater is the 11th in the Apple Cinemas chain, which also operates in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.
