Edward Maier

President and CEO, GW Lisk Co. Inc.

Years in current role: 8

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy exploring and developing strategy with our team and then working to realize those strategies.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?

Hands down the COVID pandemic caused a huge disruption to our business. The challenges of keeping our workforce safe and healthy, managing a volatile supply chain and keeping our customers happy was enormous. There was tremendous uncertainty, especially at the onset of the pandemic. However, the Lisk team stayed calm and focused to persevere and realize our plan even under these extraordinary conditions.

What has been your organization’s biggest success over the past year?

Besides the foregoing exceptional performance throughout the pandemic, the Lisk team completed its first acquisition in decades.

What do you see as the biggest changes in the technology industry over the next year?

The industry is undergoing a tectonic shift in supply base construct due to the pandemic, inflation and geopolitical “dynamics.”

What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?

Lisk has a huge commitment to the local community in Clifton Springs. I also have served and continue to serve charitable and educational organizations.
