Preprinted materials may qualify for insertion in the Rochester Business Journal. Single-page inserts must be printed on 60-pound stock (minimum) and must not contain any blank sheets. Inserts may not be smaller than 6″ x 9″ or larger than 10″ x 13″. If the insert exceeds 10″ x 13″, the advertiser must provide the insert in folded form. Inserts may not contain any type of mailing indicia. All inserts must have prior approval; samples are required two weeks in advance of publication date.
Preprinted inserts must be received with packing slips, six business days prior to publication date. Packing slips must contain the insert name, date of insertion, quantity and total number of cartons.
The Rochester Business Journal is published weekly and issued on Friday. Space reservations for display advertising are due Thursday, eight days prior to publication. Space reservations for the Business Marketplace are due Monday, four days prior to publication. Camera-ready ads are due at 5 p.m. Monday, four days prior to publication.
Display (print): Thursday at noon, eight days prior to publication date. No redesign of ads will be made after 5 p.m. on Monday.
Business Marketplace (print): Tuesday at noon, three days prior to publication date. Proof correction deadline is Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Online: RBJ.net workups must be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the appearance of the first ad.
Daily Report (email): One week prior to publication.

Special features and supplements
Throughout the year, the Rochester Business Journal provides readers with unique stand-alone editorial supplements. Many of our supplements are produced in celebration of a special business event, while others provide perspective and data on a number of business issues. Subscribers tend to keep these pullouts and use them for reference throughout the year. In addition, advertisers benefit from increased circulation beyond our usual subscriber list and distribution—at events or for economic development purposes.

The Lists – annual issue
This popular issue is a compilation of the weekly Top 25 lists printed during the year in the Rochester Business Journal. When you advertise in The Lists, you align your company with the best in Rochester business and you guarantee your position in the most anticipated and referenced business publication in our community. Two out of three subscribers keep their copy of The Lists 12 months or longer, meaning your message is acknowledged repeatedly throughout the year. The Lists is mailed to subscribers in December and sold online and at area bookstores all year long. Positions in The Lists are first-come, first-served, and the space reservation deadline is mid-October.
