David is a Partner at Phillips Lytle LLP and a leader of the firm’s Cannabis Practice Team. He concentrates his practice in the area of environmental law and litigation, specifically focusing on commercial, real estate and agribusiness matters. David is recognized as one of the leading agribusiness lawyers in New York State – having played an integral role in major enforcement actions brought by federal and state regulators against agriculture operators, including major dairy and other agricultural operations, throughout the Northeast. He has represented hemp growers and processors in zoning and land use issues, litigation and regulatory matters.
Meaghan is a member of the Harris Beach Cannabis Industry Team. She frequently presents, writes and podcasts about a host of legal issues related to the burgeoning cannabis industry in New York state.
Meaghan focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation matters, with a focus on Cannabis law and in trusts and estates litigation. She litigates accounting disputes, drafts petitions and civil pleadings, performs complex research, defends objections and dispositive motions and has experience handling large-scale discovery productions. She is familiar with both civil practice and Surrogate’s Court procedure.

Patrick also focuses his practice on business litigation and insurance defense matters. He has extensive experience defending catastrophic construction accident, products liability, car accident, and toxic exposure claims — including environmental mass tort litigation. In addition to his personal injury defense practice, Patrick handles a variety of business tort and contract litigation matters on behalf of financial institutions and other commercial clients, including claims involving breach of non-compete agreements, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, and other business torts. Patrick’s commercial practice also involves defense and prosecution of claims involving intellectual property, including copyright and trademark disputes, trade secret claims, and confidentiality agreements.
