Drivers of electric and hybrid cars get go-kart discount

RPM Raceway, an indoor go-kart raceway, is offering an Earth Day discount to customers who arrive in electric or hybrid vehicles April 20-22. Earth Day is April 22.

Passengers of electric or hybrid cars will get one half-price race at RPM and the owner of the car will receive a free race.

“In our commitment to keep our company green, we pride ourselves on providing an authentic, exhilarating and memorable experience with our high performance, all-electric, emission-free indoor karts,” said Karen Davis-Farage, president and co-owner of RPM Raceway. “We look forward to recognizing the efforts our guests are making to keep our planet clean and hope many will race with us this Earth Day weekend.”

The discount is available at all RPM Raceway locations, including Marketplace Mall in Henrietta, Walden Galleria in Buffalo, Destiny USA in Syracuse, Farmingdale on Long Island, and Jersey City, N.J.

RPM Raceway adult league set to start

rpmRPM Raceway is ramping up for the return of its adult racing league this spring.

The four-week league will begin March 27 and run Tuesdays through April 17. The racing league gives enthusiasts the opportunity to go wheel-to-wheel with drivers around the region for a month of intense racing action to prove they’re the best on the track.

The weekly races will offer various formats including a Grand Prix, Endurance Races and more. Participants drive Italian state-of-the-art go-karts on tracks designed to imitate real formula courses.

Pricing for the adult league is $185 for members or $234 for non-members. The Grand Prize winner will receive three free races, discounted races and their name on a plaque.

In addition to its location at the Marketplace Mall, RPM Raceway has facilities in Jersey City, N.J., Syracuse, Buffalo and Long Island.
