The honorees, unveiled during a special ceremony Thursday at The Strong National Museum of Play, were chosen from a field of 12 finalists that also included bingo, Breyer Horses, Catan, Nerf, piñata, Phase 10, Pound Puppies, Rack-O and Spirograph.

This year’s finalists for induction into The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame span the history of play and include one of the oldest games known to civilization, as well as classics from the 1980s.
