Imagine Monroe, the county’s industrial development arm, has approved incentives for five projects that are expected to create 36 jobs.

Security Risk Advisors Inc., a Philadelphia-based cybersecurity solutions firm, plans to open a second location on Culver Road that will create up to 10 jobs. The company has been approved for the GreatRebate program and is seeking approval of the EquiPlus program on equipment and furniture purchases of $100,000.

Empire Medicinals Inc., dba Leep Foods, plans to lease additional production space from the Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority in the town of Chili. The company, which provides high-quality, organic mushrooms via wholesale contracts, plans to purchase a humidification system, specialized HVAC, hoop house and more to meet current demands. Leep Foods has been approved for the GreatRebate program and is seeking approval of the EquiPlus program on purchases of nearly $90,000, which will help create two new positions.

Van Hook Service Co. Inc. is proposing to purchase up to eight fleet vehicles, and plans to create four new positions over the next year to meet demand. The industrial, commercial and public sector refrigeration and air conditioning services company has been approved for the GreatRate program and is seeking approval for the EquiPlus program for purchases of nearly $290,000.

Real estate holding company 1050 John Street LLC proposes to construct a 30,000-square-foot facility on nearly four acres in Henrietta for the new home of Viavi Solutions Inc. Viavi acquired RPC Photonics last year. The applicant seeks approval of JobsPlus property tax abatement, sales and mortgage recording tax exemption on the construction of the $4.55 million building.

As the tenant, Viavi is seeking sales tax exemption on purchases of construction materials for furniture, fixtures and equipment totaling $3.05 million. The total project cost is $7.85 million and is expected to create five positions over three years.

Real estate holding company 390 East CBM LLC plans to redevelop the current East Ave Inn, which was constructed in 1957. The project will include a 125-room Courtyard by Marriott on East Avenue, complete with underground and surface parking areas. The company is seeking sales tax and mortgage recording tax exemption and a JobsPlus payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT).

An existing PILOT on the property, which is located in or near a distressed census tract, will be terminated. The project is expected to create 18 full-time positions.

“This month alone Imagine Monroe is helping to create and retain almost 200 more jobs for our residents,” Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo said in a statement. “We are especially proud that Security Risk Advisors, based in Philadelphia, has chosen Monroe County for its second location and we look forward to helping the company set up shop here.”
