A Webster-based business process solutions firm has been named to the Global Impact Sourcing Coalition, a network of businesses that create jobs for those in need.
Datrose was recognized for its Salute and Recruit Program, which employs veterans through impact sourcing. Impact sourcing is the practice of employing high potential but disadvantaged people in the services sector. Veterans often face barriers when searching for civilian jobs; programs like Salute and Recruit help alleviate that problem, officials said.
“We’re very proud to be a member of the Global Impact Sourcing Coalition,” Datrose President and CEO Cheryl Leader said in a statement. “As a veteran-owned company, it’s very important for us to be able to give back and bridge the employment gap between veterans and employers.”
Datrose has a team of certified veteran recruiters that work with U.S. military veterans to recruit experienced veterans. Leader said that enables the company to have a positive and meaningful impact on the veteran community and employers that work with them.
“Veterans in the U.S. are often underemployed and face barriers to securing meaningful, full-time roles in the private sector,” said Sara Enright, project director for the Global Impact Sourcing Coalition. “GISC is excited to include Datrose in its membership and to raise awareness about how companies can source from suppliers that offer career-advancing opportunities to veterans and other vulnerable populations.”
GISC’s mission is to build more inclusive global supply chains through advancing wide-scale adoption of impact sourcing, with a vision of all people having the opportunity to obtain productive employment.
Datrose was founded more than four decades ago and offers a number of business process solutions such as accounts payable automation and invoice processing, document scanning and data capture and administrative support, among other things. Earlier this year, Datrose was recognized by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ The Global Outsourcing 100 program, an organization that brings together professionals and clients in the outsourcing field.
