PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has agreed to acquire Rochester tech startup EagleDream Technologies for an undisclosed sum. Upon closing, EagleDream’s 100 employees will transition to PwC’s U.S. Advisory business.

“Combining EagleDream’s depth of cloud-narrative expertise with the core competencies PwC provides offers us the ability to help enterprises redefine what’s possible with technology,” said EagleDream CEO and Co-founder Bob Moore in a statement. “Together, our detailed engineering skills and end-to-end approach enables us to drive impact and value in the market at scale.”
EagleDream is a leading cloud-native transformation company and premier consulting partner in the Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN). The company offers advanced cloud and application modernization services and other complementary core capabilities.
Among the skilled cloud professionals joining PwC through the acquisition are multiple APN ambassadors. APN ambassadors are highly qualified technical individuals who work for an APN Consulting Partner. There are fewer than 200 members worldwide and fewer than 50 in North America.
“Today, most business transformations are underpinned by cloud platforms, and this acquisition bolsters our ability to drive to maintain our leadership in that market,” said Mohamed Kande, PwC vice chair and U.S. & Global Advisory leader. “Combined with our existing capabilities and expertise, this allows us to create a deeper strength of excellence, improve our ability to generate demand, go-to-market more consistently and help our clients innovate, disrupt and operationalize their businesses.”
The two parties are working toward the deal’s closing, which is subject to conditions that are customary to this type of transaction.
