Greater Rochester International Airport will begin operating a secondary “Checkpoint A” during peak travel periods next week.

“Checkpoint A” will be located adjacent to the American Airlines ticketing counter and will consist of two passenger security checkpoint lanes.

The main passenger security checkpoint will be under construction as part of the terminal revitalization project and will be relocating two of the six passenger screening lanes to the secondary location through October 2018, when the entire project is expected to be completed.

Way-finding signs will be placed throughout the terminal to guide passengers to the new checkpoint during peak travel periods, defined as 4:30 to 6:30 a.m., 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m.
