John Curtis drives business results as Manager, Lease Marketing for North America Operations, leading Xerox US Financing Programs and Sales Enablers. He joined Xerox in California in 1984, after serving in the US Air Force.
John has championed diversity for over 25 years: 6 years as Co-President of GALAXe LGBT ERG at Xerox, Executive Ally/LGBT 101 sessions, human resource policies, roundtables and inclusion initiatives and outreach across other diversity groups. John has delivered Diversity/TEDTalks workshops in Philadelphia, San Francisco, New York and Toronto. John is active with community service/non-profit boards and as the first male board member for Xerox’s Women’s Alliance, he leads their “Manbassador”/Male Allies outreach programs. John has been recognized: as an OUTstanding Champion by Out & Equal Workplace Advocates in 2017; one of the Empire State Pride Agenda (NY) 25 LGBT Community Champions; and recently with the Xerox Lifetime Diversity Leadership: Award of Distinction by all of the Xerox diversity caucus groups.
With his husband, David, and their two adopted sons (John David, 20, VietNam & Joseph, 13, Guatemala), their family’s journey has been shared via Xerox global videos on diversity, interviews on NPR StoryCorps and LGBT documentary, Shoulders To Stand On. John inspires people around the world to “Be Yourself, Everywhere”.
