If you’re going to network, you might as well do it in a cool space. The Whiting Building, circa 1926, at 350 East Ave. in Rochester’s East End neighborhood, has some cool vintage features, but it’s at least as cool for what it houses as its architectural chops.
Inside the Whiting Building, owners Webster Properties — in collaboration with Metro Collective — have created a multi-functional space designed for living, working and playing. The property includes two connected buildings and three floors.
Inside are The Riot Room, Tru Agent Real Estate, Port 100 Cowork, Need Salon Suites, private offices, suites, apartments managed by Webster Properties and Abodes Aparthotel.
Many common spaces are placed throughout the building. Tenants of the Whiting Building utilize these common areas to talk and work with one another.
The marketing, events and community building aspects are managed by Metro Collective. Tenants have access to exclusive perks with Metro Collective partners. Webster Properties leases the spaces and assists with common maintenance of the building.
Before COVID-19, the first floor was an open co-working space with desks throughout. After the onset of COVID-19, semi-private suites were added and the co-working space was relocated to the second floor.
