You could be forgiven for not knowing whether to drink in the ambience or drink in the ambience at Viticulture Wine Bar, 217 Alexander St.
Viticulture’s focus is on offering a well curated and rotating selection of wines from the top three wine producing regions in the world: Spain, Italy and France. Each of Viticulture’s three rooms is designed around one of these regions.
Mix in an exceptional playlist and frequent collaboration with local food vendors, such as Bubby’s BBQ, TacoDero and Dough Boyz Pizza, and you have a winning formula.
In the words of one nominator: “The decor is very stylish. The atmosphere is welcoming. A place for adults to come and unwind. The food and wine are delicious. Overall Viticulture has a cool and relaxing ambience.”
Viticulture opened four days before the COVID-19 shutdown and had to close its doors until outdoor dining was permitted again in June 2020. It revamped its outdoor patio with the help of Top Notch Landscaping to make the outside more appealing while indoor dining was restricted.
The interior space was designed by owner Courtney Benson, with the help of Shanyc Difiore and Olivia Choma. The ceiling art mural was done by Deon Johnson.
